Community Life Is Organized Through a Residents Association
Each resident of Kendal is automatically a member of the Kendal at Granville Residents Association (KAGRA). Association by-laws were adopted in August of 2005 and amended and approved at the Association's annual meeting in September of 2006. The Association is organized for educational and charitable purposes under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and is certified by the Ohio Secretary of State as a charitable not-for-profit organization.
The Association establishes an elected Council that facilitates the development and conduct of volunteer committees and special interest groups and other valued forms of community life. The president of the Residents Association attends Kendal at Granville's Board of Trustees as an ex-officio member.
All residents are invited to make a voluntary contribution to the Association annually and an operating budget is developed each year. In just a short time since opening (April of 2005), Kendal residents have been finding many areas of common ground. Following is a list of the committees and special interest groups that have been flourishing since opening.
