Kendal at Granville Awarded Highest Honors for Resident Satisfaction

Holleran Consulting, a firm that specializes in conducting resident satisfaction surveys for CCRCs, has awarded Kendal at Granville its Highest Honors “in recognition of … outstanding efforts in providing the highest levels of service to [its] residents.”

Holleran’s award citation congratulates Kendal at Granville for “achieving scores that exceed the 90th percentile and are significantly above our National Benchmark for the following Overall Satisfaction factors:

  • Overall satisfaction with Kendal at Granville
  • Long-term confidence in Kendal at Granville’s future.”

In addition to top Overall Satisfaction scores, Holleran noted that the following Independent Living survey factors achieved Highest Honors for Kendal at Granville.

Administration/Management, including fulfillment of original residence and care agreement, fulfillment of expectations as promoted by marketing, adequate resident orientation, efficiency/accuracy of Billing Department, accessibility of the Executive Director, fairness and consistency of administration of policies, confidence in Kendal at Granville’s ability to respond to emergency or unusual situations, opportunity for resident input.

Medical/Clinical, including quality of care in skilled nursing and effectiveness of therapy services as provided at Kendal at Granville.

Community Life, including competence of staff, friendliness/courtesy of staff, staff’s respect for privacy, availability of services outside of normal business hours (maintenance, security), timeliness of communications, responsiveness to inquiries/problems, and quality of transportation services.

Community/Environment, including safety and security of independent residences, buildings and grounds, cleanliness of common areas, and timely response to maintenance requests.

Dining Services, including cleanliness of dining areas.

Last spring, Kendal at Granville also received a Five Star Quality Rating for all indicators from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid.

In March, the Ohio Department of Aging released statewide survey results for skilled nursing and assisted-living providers. Kendal at Granville scored 96.12 on the skilled nursing survey, 14th best in Ohio, and scored 98.89 on the assisted-living survey, tied for fourth in the state.

These accolades followed hard on the heels of Kendal at Granville’s reaccreditation by CARF in February.
