Kendal at Granville Engages With the Wider Community

Since opening in the spring of 2005, Kendal has welcomed a variety of organizations from the local area and is hosting community groups and programs such as the Review Club, Civil War Roundtable, Licking County Home Economics Association, Delta Kappa Gamma and the Granville chapter of PEO.

Doug Helman, Executive Director of Kendal at Granville, recently wrote about our recent outreach efforts in our Residents' Association Newsletter. He wrote:

"Community outreach and contributing to the wider community are consistent with our vision statement and strategic plan. Although our community has only been open a little over 2 years, our local outreach efforts are quite impressive. Most of our outreach efforts involve the coordinated works of residents and employees, which include: Touching Little Lives, Licking County Food Pantry, Arthritis Foundation, American Cancer Relay for Life, Memory Walk with the Alzheimers Association, Licking County Job and Family Services annual Families helping Families campaign, Goodwill Industries, Dining with Diabetes, Granville Fellowship and Low Vision Support Group, Licking County Public Health Partnership and "Think Pink" campaign (Breast Cancer Education), Licking County Aging Program, and Granville Rotary. I would like to thank all residents and employees for embracing our community outreach efforts. While there are still plenty of opportunities to engage ourselves in outreach, we are certainly off to a great start."
