Leadership Team

Kendal at Granville is a not-for-profit, full-service continuing care retirement community affiliated with The
Kendal Corporation. The community opened April 2005. Kendal at Granville achieved CARF/CCAC Accreditation in 2009, with a five-year extension granted in 2014. Kendal at Granville is located on 94 acres of rolling hills with stunning vistas of farmland, woodlands and streams in the Township of Granville, Ohio, one mile west of the Village of Granville and Denison University.


Douglas P. Helman

Douglas P. Helman

Executive Director

Helman has been the Executive Director since July 2004. Prior to joining Kendal at Granville, Mr. Helman was employed by HCR Manorcare for over 12 years and most recently served as Senior Administrator for Oakmont Health Center in Greenville, South Carolina. He has served on several boards including Rotary Club of Granville, Rotary Club of Greenville and the Alzheimer’s Association of Greenville. He currently serves on the Board of Hospice of Central Ohio, the Scholarship Committee of the Licking County Foundation, and the Membership Committee of LeadingAge Ohio Mr. Helman received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Health Care Administration and his Master of Business Administration from Bowling Green State University. He has been licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator since 1992.

 

 

Jennifer M. Bobak

Jennifer M. Bobak

Finance Manager

Jennifer has been the Finance Manager since October 2004. Prior to joining Kendal at Granville, Ms. Bobak served as Manager in the Post-Acute Advisory Services Group with a Cleveland, Ohio based public accounting firm of Howard, Wershbale & Company for 5 years and as the office manager of a skilled nursing facility in Toledo, Ohio for 9 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Major in Accounting from Bowling Green State University. She currently serves on the Granville Senior Center Board and the Audit Committee of the Licking County Foundation.

 

 

Jennifer L. Weekly

Jennifer L. Weekly

Health Services Administrator

Jennifer Weekly has been with Kendal at Granville since November 2004, serving as Health Services Administrator from 2013 to present and Director of Nursing from 2004 to 2013. Prior to joining Kendal at Granville, Ms. Weekly served as the Director of Quality and Case Management at Marion General Hospital in Marion, Ohio for three years and was employed by Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark, Ohio for 13 years serving as a staff nurse, a case manager, Director of Case Management and Vice President of Patient Care Services. Ms. Weekly received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from The Ohio State University and a Masters in Nursing Administration degree from Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio. She has been licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator since 2011.

 

 

William Solivan

William Solivan

Director of Resident Services

William has served as Director of Resident Services since July 2010. Prior to serving as Director of Resident Services Mr. Solivan served as the Dining Services Director from January 2005. Mr. Solivan has a Bachelor’s of Business Operations Degree from DeVry University. Prior to joining Kendal at Granville, Mr. Solivan served as the Operations Manager for the Franklin county Meals on Wheels Program for over 10 years and Branch Operations Manager at Aetna Building Services for 6 years. He has served on several advisory boards and works closely with the Licking County Individualized Transition — Education to Career Program.

 

 

Dan Nase

Dan Nase

Director of Sales and Marketing

Dan came to Kendal at Granville with more than 25 years of sales and marketing management experience, including six years within the world of senior living. Born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Dan started his career in the media business working for multiple newspaper properties with the Gannett Corporation. He has also worked in the marketing and communication departments of the Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia and the Archdiocese of Baltimore. Dan and family moved to Pickerington, Ohio outside of Columbus in 2005 to work again for a newspaper property with Gannett. After eight years there, he moved into the position of Director of Sales and Marketing for a Life Plan community, where he developed a love for older adults and the senior living field.

 

 

Beth Waite

Beth Waite

Human Resources Manager

Beth had more than 13 years of experience working in health care as the Director of Human Resources at Mount Carmel Health System prior to joining Kendal at Granville in January 2015. She has worked in human resource leadership roles at Nationwide Insurance before she launched a human resources consulting business for four years. Ms. Waite has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Human Resources from Franklin University.
