Medicare-certified skilled nursing care centers, like Kendal at Granville’s Health Center, regularly report clinical information about each resident to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Medicare measures several quality indicators for both short-stay and long-stay residents, including the percentage of residents who had a fall with major injuries, those who are given antipsychotic medications for the first time, those who were physically restrained, and high-risk individuals who acquire pressure ulcers. Kendal at Granville outperforms state and national benchmarks on all of these key quality measures.

“We are also pleased to note that the Ohio Department of Aging scores Kendal at Granville at 92, while the statewide average is 77.8,” Helman added. “The state’s latest resident satisfaction survey shows our residents are consistently very pleased with their care, their caregivers, their room and the environment, as well as their meals and dining options.”
